Optometry Residency Program

The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at VA Illiana is a 12 month postgraduate program designed to train and develop clinical pharmacists in multiple areas, including ambulatory care, mental health, and long-term care. This ASHP-accredited program builds on PharmD education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for PGY2 pharmacy residency training.Our residents develop knowledge and skills in direct patient care, providing them with the opportunity to be successful in multiple practice environments. Residents also receive training and experience in teaching through our affiliation with Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville School of Pharmacy (SIUE-SOP) and are provided the opportunity to obtain a teaching certificate, as well as adjunct faculty status, at SIUE-SOP.
Podiatric Residency and Clerkship Program
VA Illiana Health Care System offers training to Podiatry Resident and Students in two capacities:
- Three year PMSR w/RRA residency program, fully approved by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education
- Clerkship program in podiatric medicine and surgery. Podiatry students work closely with our Podiatry attendings and residents, participating in all aspects of patient care.
Psychology Training Program
The VA Illiana Health Care System is an academic medical center affiliated with the University of Illinois, privileged to provide primary, secondary, medical and surgical care, acute psychiatric care, extended long-term care and skilled nursing home care, including Rehabilitation, Alzheimer's and Palliative Care to the men and women who have so proudly served out nation. The main facility located in Danville, Illinois, with a full-service outpatient clinic in Peoria IL and community-based outpatient clinics in Decatur, Mattoon, and Springfield Illinois.
