Mental Health-Suicide Prevention

The Suicide Prevention Program is to reduce the possibility of suicide through increased awareness and education, and increased access to clinical intervention and through consistent and supportive follow-up to the Veterans in Crisis. The Suicide Prevention Team is ready to help you. This resource provides confidential support to Veterans should they feel as though suicide is the only option. The hotline is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The coordinator is staffed by trained professionals to provide support and follow-up to those callers. The Goal of the Suicide Prevention Program is to promote that Suicide Prevention is Everybody's Business and Mental Health Treatment Works.

Program Objectives:

  • Promote increased awareness about the warning signs of suicide and how to get help
  • Provide training about suicide assessment and intervention
