VA Illiana Health Care System Implements Extended Hours for Outpatient Clinics
VA Illiana Health Care Systems (VAIHCS) located at 1900 E. Main St. in Danville, Illinois has begun to offer extended outpatient clinic hours to Veterans.
Veterans can call the scheduling call center at 217-554-4444 or their Primary Care Team to utilize these new appointment hours.
Bob Michel VA Outpatient Clinic Implements Extended Hours
An opportunity to provide Veterans with increased access to health care has arisen from the Veterans Health Administration’s decision to provided extended hours of operation at its larger outpatient facilities such as the Bob Michel VA Outpatient Clinic, located on 7717 N. Orange Prairie Road in Peoria, Illinois.
Earlier this year feedback was gathered from Veterans at the outpatient clinic along with Veteran Service Organizations from the Peoria area on what times and days they would prefer to have extended hours (extended hours of operation is defined as times beyond 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Demand and utilization data of past clinic appointments were also considered in the VA’s decision making process.
To utilize these appointment times, Veterans will need to contact their respective VA health care providers to be scheduled for an appointment. Veterans can contact the scheduling department at 217-554-4444.
